This renovation involved a new kitchen and the removal of the wall facing the Family Room. The new kitchen island is re-oriented 90 degrees relative to the previous island, with a casual seating area located at the end of the counter surface. Custom wood-veneered cabinetry includes a pull out coffee station, touch release panels near the ceiling, pull out pantry drawers, a dish towel drawer, spice drawer, lazy Susan at corner, and new fixtures and appliances. The surfaces are geared towards easy cleaning: quartz is used for the counter and back splash. The flooring is modular vinyl tile rather than porcelain tile per owner request, to soften the impact while standing. A new sliding pocket door was introduced between the Kitchen and Dining Room, maintaining the clear division between rooms.
