With the city sprawled out below, this vacation home for rent in Kiev is perched high above the sky line with magnificent, 180-degree views. Now a luxurious penthouse, the apartment was formerly an industrial equipment warehouse that nevertheless had the infrastructure and an enviable position to convert into a fabulous living space.
Designed and renovated by Kiev-based architectural firm 2B.group, the project’s main objective was to showcase the amazing views and expansive, uninterrupted spaces. With walls of glass punctuated by nifty porthole windows, the main room was visually divided into lounge and dining space with the sleek, stainless kitchen tucked under the naturally sloping roof line, allowing light to penetrate throughout.
Combining warm wood floors with the existing concrete creates a simple, muted palette with contemporary furnishings and decor and bright splashes of art.The two bedrooms are placed on either side of the main spaces providing privacy along with spectacular views, including from the en suite master bedroom bath. Located in one of the best neighborhoods among the leafy botanical gardens, it’s an immaculately executed design transformation that visually engages you with this fascinating city.
