The dining table was hand-made, with a solid concrete base and quartz top and we exposed the far brick wall but left behind a venetian chipped plaster motif and attached our custom designed leather banquette bench (that has lift up storage in it as well!). Beside it sits floor to ceiling millwork with a slat detail.
We wanted the bedroom to feel like every day was a hotel getaway. We replaced a regular door and small window with a large sliding glass door that leads to the balcony. This made the small space feel larger and brought in more light. As the furniture is very clean and classic in the bedroom, we installed the same ornate mouldings that are on the main level to tie in both floors. We also exposed and painted the brick on the south wall to add more character to a once uninterested space.
Spaces by Jacflash converted this 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom second level, into a modern master suite by almost tripling the existing bathroom size. We replaced all windows, levelled out the floors and ceilings.
This spacious 4 piece bathroom hosts a large stand up shower, free standing soaker tub, double sink vanity and separate water closet. We opened the space even more by inserting a mirrored wall and we used Carrara marble porcelain wall tiles to give the same look and feel of marble slab but for a fraction of the price. We chose an accent tile pattern with a thin Nero Marquina marble tile installed in a herringbone pattern for the shower. The simple, white floating vanity works in contrast with the dramatic shower. All fixtures are from Rubinet and we found this gorgeous, antique wall sconce with a matching brass finish, crystal bars to add some glamour and an industrial base. The matte black, suspended ceiling towel rack was designed custom by Spaces by Jacflash. The versatility in materials and finishes create a glamorous, yet sophisticated palette. Since we installed a water closet, there was no need for us to add bathroom doors which amplified the overall open concept.

Spaces by Jacflash transformed this once claustrophobic, living and dining room into an open and airy, gorgeous living space. We removed a dated plate rail that had made the the ceilings feel very low. We also removed the stair wall, exposed the brick and hid a bulkhead by transforming it into a feature to accentuate our new crown moulding.
Spaces by Jacflash custom designed these modern, matte black windows and added some Parisian style moulding to give the room additional glamour and character. Installing wide plank, white oak floors, a large patina mirror and a custom slatted stair guard to elongate the ceilings, all make the space feel more open and grande. The french style panels are one of our favourite aspects of the space, as we love that they add architectural interest to the room and make the space feel classic.
The patina mirror was inserted into one of the panels to accentuate the mouldings and to make them look original, adding to the Parisian loft feel we were going for. For lighting, we used a large crystal chandelier that we contrasted with brand new modern pendants in both the hall and living area. These two pendants are completely different styles, but they are both dark to match the new windows and to add a more masculine touch to the space. We also painted the exposed brick white, to contrast with the sleek stairs.
The overall concept of this space was to combine and craft together various styles of design, including Parisian, classic, modern and industrial to create an alluring and refined space.
