The project is situated within dense urban estate housing complex where moderate size houses are built to maximum plot availability. Row of neighboring houses with windows overlooking at each other; road side green spaces are lost in substitute for more car parking and ease of maintenance. As site advantage, there are three huge fruit trees on narrow side curb in front. It is planted by the parent three decades prior. These three existing trees provides perfect privacy screen from adjacent neighboring houses, provides good shade, and cools passing wind into the house during high tropical heat times.

The design balances solids, openings, and operable walls for sight and privacy. Masses and circulation arranged as to ease air movement passing through. Minimum attachment of building footprint to plot sides with intention to capture rotating wind and to allow for garden space potential for growing food.

On Family/Communal Ground Floor, low trees foliage combined with porous boundary wall becomes main privacy screen from neighboring premises, giving opportunity for double height living room connects fully toward nature within and upwards to skies at vicinity above treetops.

Semi open natural ventilated staircase clad with weather louver as insertion apparatus to connect sight vertically and to act as natural air cooling tower. Aside serving as main circulation connection between all rooms and levels.

On First Floor, operable walls give option to expand space visually combining with other rooms and connects with the outside environment.While on second floor, two good size family rooms for relatives second home (/to sleep under the stars). In between these rooms, a glass platform is available as hang out place to enjoy moment of the day.

With the ability to observe nature atmospheric changes throughout times, to feel air breeze on your skin, while being hugged by greeneries; this home bring the long lost essence of tropical living back into the heart of a dense city.
