From Patricia Martin

We worked closely with an architect and over the years carefully curated an environment that pays homage to the early Moroccan influences of the desert southwest. The site selection capitalizes on the views of the nearby Sandia Mountains. The home nestles into the hillside. Native landscaping with plants indigenous to the area were used to help create a home that feels as if it belongs to the land. Inside, the warm woods and stone floors topped with handwoven rugs create a welcoming environment. Every ceiling is different, the walls are softened. There is an abundance of natural light through the careful placement of windows that account for seasonal differences. Art from nearby Santa Fe galleries and Art Fairs is abundant. Although large, it feels inviting.
