The Henry House is a private townhouse in Cobble Hill Brooklyn that was painstakingly and lovingly designed, built, and developed by Peter Guthrie, Founder and Head of Design of DDG Partners, New York through his new venture Yellowtrees. Created during the pandemic lockdown this house is an expression of a commitment to craft and the the architectural tradition of gesamtkunstwerk, or total work of art. Designing and making custom windows, doors, beds, tables, lights, and more in his red hook studio during the pandemic and then emerging with them beautifully installed into this home is the perfect antidote to a very difficult time. This is the ultimate celebration of home, a well crafted refuge where the harmony of the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
