HaiNing residence

As a professional in the fashion industry, the client envisions a new home with a perfect balance between simplicity and transparency, as well as brightness and comfort. With this vision in mind, our design concept centers around the idea of "restrained expression of function," aiming to create an elegant yet unpretentious space that meets the client’s lifestyle needs.

The project site is located in HaiNing, the original layout of this 330square meter duplex presented challenges with functional separation and overcrowded spaces at the east and west ends. To better accommodate the client’s requirements, we take significant modifications to the original structure. In the public, we maximize the use of window views and natural light by removing the existing entrance hallway and partitions, connecting the western kitchen and dining area. This creates a spacious and inviting dining environment, enhancing the overall sense of openness.

In the living room, we further expand the area, unifying the multifunctional spaces to foster interaction between different zones, resulting in a vibrant social hub. To minimize the visual impact of the existing beams and columns, we skillfully integrate them into the overall functional layout, enhancing the visual depth of the space.

To increase comfort in the bedroom, we transform the master bedroom into a suite bedroom, improving the functionality of the cloakroom while enhancing privacy and the overall experience of the space. For the younger family members, we create an environment filled with whimsy and growth potential, incorporating playful colors and diverse soft furnishings to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Additionally, we introduce high-quality industrial products to add layers and texture to the details of everyday life, resulting in a space that feels rich and fulfilling.
