This bar-shaped layout makes the most of a small footprint. Organized into an owner's wing and guest wing, with entertaining spaces in the middle, the floorplan provides lots of options for rental arrangements. The owner's suite - with it's full 4-piece bath, large closet and private patio space - can be fully locked off when renting the guest area. A staircase from the vaulted living, dining and kitchen space leads to a flexible loft over the first floor guest room.
This interior is a study in the combination of honest materials: steel, wood, and glass. The vaulted ceiling has a rhythm of exposed rafters with blackened steel turnbuckles providing additional structural support. Long, wide plank white oak flooring express the horizontality of the home while two floor-to-ceiling glass accordion glass window walls blur the line between inside and outside.
