Ferox Studio is thrilled to submit our landscape design project, "Bed-Sty Charmer " to the Dwell Design Awards, in the category of; Garden.

This Brooklyn, New York project celebrates small space landscape design solutions for a modern urban home that includes play space for children as well as relaxation and entertainment for adults.
The goal was simple - keep the space engaging and functional yet whimsical! At the heart of Ferox Studio’s work is a deep love for meadow scapes and pollinator habitats. This project incorporates a lush palette of pollinator perennials, soft, swaying Salix and structural evergreens for winter interest. In addition, The faux turf as an alternative to lawn is a powerful, water wise and cost effective decision that provides soft play space for children. A unique and delightful addition to this garden is the mint green playhouse designed built by the client, HUTS.NYC founder, Wayne Congar. An arrangement of planters of various shapes and sizes provide a sense of depth and verdant greenery all around. Altogether, elevating a once flat and empty backyard into a charming wonderland of respite and amusement, while remaining focused on sustainability.
