Located in Tijuana, Mexico, developed on a 2,700 sq/ft footprint and designed for a family of three with concrete as the project’s main design element.

The home’s ceilings are covered in walnut hardwood bringing warmth to the concrete design element. This warm design language is continued in the kitchen cabinets, bedroom closets, built-in cabinets, and doors to balance the visual weight created by the large amount of concrete that surrounds every space.

Floor to ceiling glass doors and picture windows are strategically installed in key locations and play an important role in this project. As a design element it allows the home to retain a comfortable temperature taking advantage of cross ventilation among the home’s different levels thanks to the wood elements and the width in the concrete walls.

The first story contains the main entrance off the left side of the home as well as a gym, office, storage space as well as a 2-car garage on the interior space of the home. The main entrance, surrounded by steel lattice and concrete walls, we can find the stairs going to the first level, which allows privacy for the family and creates an indoor-outdoor connection

The common area of the home is located on the second floor. It uses an open floor plan to create a great room which encompasses the kitchen, dining room and living room.

The dining room plays in integral role as it connects the kitchen and living room to the outdoor Cumaru hardwood deck and pool. The dining room ceiling is doubled in height and complimented by floor to ceiling glass doors creating a feeling of spaciousness and importance.

Bedrooms located in the upper level; with the master bedroom is one of the most distinctive elements of the home. With a 12ft cantilever the master bedroom appears as it is floating 20ft above the street level. Oriented to face the Pacific Ocean it offers amazing view thanks to its glass wall that covers the whole length of the master bedroom.
