The Esplanade Residence was designed to seamlessly blend the client’s and the designer’s unique visions. The home combines simple, modern design with energy efficiency and sweeping ocean views, all while achieving BC Energy Step Code 5.
An angled south-facing façade maximizes sunlight and views, while the steeply sloped lot is optimized with multi-tier retaining walls, landscaped green spaces, and a private shaded courtyard below the parking level. The main floor offers bright, open living spaces oriented toward the ocean, while the top floor includes three bedrooms, two with private balconies, sliding doors and expansive views. Upstairs, three bedrooms—two with private balconies and sliding doors—offer expansive views. The basement adds versatility, with a media room, gym, and bar, balancing functionality and leisure.
Durable, low-maintenance materials—light cement panels, dark stone tile, black metal, frameless glass railings, and natural wood—add contrast and depth to the exterior.
