The ideal Napa Valley sanctuary, designed by renowned Bay Area architect, Nick Noyes. This bespoke home, with stunning vineyard and valley views, was built in 2018 with vision, love, and exacting attention to detail. Noyes is known for creating elegant contemporary designs that beautifully frame and feature natural settings, utilizing environmentally sensitive techniques and sustainable materials. With this site, he was able to merge his incomparably sophisticated style and immaculate lines, with a nod to farmhouse aesthetic.

Set on three private acres bordered by Alston Park on one side and surrounded by private vineyards on the other, there is a real sense of privacy and serenity here, with the quintessential Wine Country retreat feel. As soon as you pull through the car gate, the scale of the property unfolds as you approach this extraordinary home and arrive at the resort sized motor court. Passing the detached two car garage and guest bedroom suite, you are led up to the main entry courtyard. Large, staggered concrete platforms lead you up through a beautifully landscaped approach to the front entry landing. The juxtaposition of carefully chosen material elements create a visual experience here. A large glass entry door set in a tall, steel-framed wall of glass leads you into an entryway corridor with polished concrete floors that meet wide-plank white oak floors bringing you into the dramatic great room.

The great room is a grand inspirational space, with soaring gabled ceilings that combines the kitchen, dining and living rooms. But, the real showstopper here is a wall of floor to ceiling windows, custom designed and shipped in from England, perfect for admiring breathtaking sunsets across the valley or watching the hot air balloons land in the park next door. The red steel frame sculpture mounted on the exterior of this window wall is a dramatic work of art that comes to life at different times of day from different angles. Open all four French doors and easily flow out to the firepit and outdoor pergola covered dining area, the epitome of indoor/outdoor entertaining.

At one end of the great room is the kitchen, complete with Wolf range, attractive grey stone countertops, subway tile backsplash, custom cabinetry, refrigerator, and freezer concealed behind paneling. A generous kitchen island features wine fridge, Shaws England farm sink, built in wood cabinetry and countertop seating for casual dining.

At the other end of the great room, A board-formed concrete gas fireplace adds another dramatic element and contrasts the light-wood paneled wall surrounding it. In between, is an expansive dining area, perfect for intimate dinners, as well as hosting large dinner parties. The great room seamlessly flows out to an expansive outdoor entertaining terrace. Relax around the built-in fire pit or enjoy meals amongst nature in the elegant dining terrace. Beautiful gardens featuring succulents and cactus border the expanse of this well thought out outdoor experience.

A spa inspired owner’s suite offers serenity, privacy, and space to stretch out. Double French doors allow access to an outdoor terrace sitting area. The bathroom encompasses an oversized walk-in shower finished in white subway tile, a double vanity space with three built-in medicine cabinets, a private water closet and a grand walk-in closet. Simplicity, scale, and function make this an ideal day to day living space.
