Dr. Kavvadia's farm

Dr. Kavvadia's farm is an olive oil producing estate that offers farmstay on the farm's restored cottages and also holds agritourism activities .
It all started in the fifties, when a young doctor bought this old abandoned olive press and transformed it into a house. He also produced small quantities of good quality olive oil. The years passed and the farm became inactive, until 10 years ago, when the Dr.'s grandson Apostolos, came to live at the farm. Apostolos is a product designer that previously had worked in studios in Milan and Paris. At first an olive oil brand was created that produced organic olive oil. Within a few years the brand had won many international quality awards and Dr. Kavvadia olive oil became an established brand. Two years ago the farm was completely restored to a fully functional and sustainable agritourism unit, producing organic olive oil and offering farmstay on the two cottages. The restoration was carried out with local materials and used and reused furniture and objects that was found at the farm. Also many Enzo Mari Autoprogetazzione furniture was made on the site, along with classic adirondack and westport armchairs, and also objects designed by Apostolos and made by artisans in the past in Greece .
The farm is an organically certified sustainable haven, and runs on the permaculture principles. The environment is totally respected and everything works around nature's benefit.
Every summer the farm is busy with olive tasting sessions and every winter the farm is busy with farm works.
Dr. Kavvadia's farm is a never ending project, that keeps evolving with food production, art and design retreats and farm to table dinners.
