Explore this pool house by Emeline Tinsman and Cody Jones of Bucks County's Armitage Interiors—a moody, Sherlock Holmes-esque space reimagined as a joy-filled retreat for a couple preparing for the next chapter of life. What began as a simple wish to make better use of a wedding-gifted margarita machine blossomed into a vibrant design journey—one that blurs the boundaries between indoors and out, practicality and playful elegance.
Central to the redesign was a rethinking of the home’s architectural flow. Existing French doors were replaced with fully operable openings that extend in both directions. The result is a seamless transition to the pool area, reinforcing the home’s connection to nature.
Function was as important as form. A detached outdoor grill was integrated into the overall plan by connecting it to the pool house, complete with a pass-through to the interior kitchenette. This feature adds ease to al fresco gatherings while strengthening the visual and practical cohesion of the space.
A soft palette of blue-green and pink lends a serene backdrop to layers of texture and pattern, especially in the banquette area where fabric, wall treatments, and textiles collide in a deeply personal harmony. Custom cabinetry and marble countertops elevate the kitchenette, along with LED-lit shelving and a custom brass swan faucet.
Durability meets design in every corner, with locally sourced tile and wipeable surfaces ready to weather wet footprints and family moments. Most striking is a custom floor mural of a crow—a nod to the home's name and its soaring sense of imagination.
Crow’s Perch is a celebration of design that embraces function and fantasy.
