This kitchen redesign is for a fun and active family of 5 who enjoy sports and the outdoors and spending time together at home, including a lot of time hanging out in the kitchen!
What was missing: Flow. Functionality. Style. Storage.
What we did: The Georgeson Style & Kyndred Shop team reconfigured this space to improve the flow and added a custom slider back door, for easy outdoor access and overflow space when entertaining. The hardwood floors were completely re-done with a modern, clear oak finish.
Additional semi-custom cabinets in white were installed up to the ceiling to increase storage space and bring the eye upward in the room for a neutral and airy palette to coordinate with the pental quartz countertops and Cloe tile backsplash, which is a varied white colored tile in a modern square shape straight stacked design. The use of contrasting colors and accents add dimension, charm and depth with white and black cabinets around the perimeter, paired with wood, black and gold accents throughout.
The pièce de résistance is the oversized custom designed Kelly green island with black and gold accents as the focal point, and importantly with plenty of space for 5 people to sit around comfortably.
