From biloba Architecture

A modern, sustainable home nestled on four acres in Charlotte, NC, the CC House features an innovative structural system consisting of twin glued laminated beams and a 2x4 roof deck. The 2x4 boards are rotated onto their short edge, and spaced three inches on center, giving the appearance of a louvered system. Skylights above the system filter daylight, and low profile LED fixtures placed in the gaps provide artificial lighting.

The homes' sustainable features include solar panels, radiant concrete floors, water saving fixtures, and 2x6 (and in some cases 2x10) exterior stud walls making the home 95% self sufficient.
