We were aproached by the clients in order to search for a specific site inside a gated community that could accomodate a particular Project. Beforehand we asked the clients to fill out a detalied questionaire in order to understand their needs and be able to deliver a program that then would lead us to find the appropiate land, with minimal slope thus the concept was to design a house that would seem very linear.

The two Lots were facing south and had a paricular view of a natural stream of wáter running towards it in a south Eastern direction waith a backview of the mountains, so we decided to aproach the Project tracing a line that would be parallel to the stream and

Enter the propperty with a fountain that would convert into a straem and would integrate to the existing river in front of it.

The entrance from the Street is a walk down beside the stream and through a quiet garden with that transmits a sense of intimacy and then developes into a surprising doublé heiight transparent área that integrates the hosue into the adjacent view.

The whole house is built with an adobe colored concrete, walls and cellings , mostlty exposed conform a series of voplumes that intersect sometimes and long cooridors that connect each different function are also meant to be savored as part of the architecture and make for quiet integration .

The living room is facing west and the sundown in this particular part of Mexico is intense
So we decided to keep this view but work with an artist to provide shade in the afternoon throug rotating screens that would also open in the moorning or at night when needed,

Carlos Aguirre was the artist chosen for this pourpouse and the perforated pattern was made after a picture taken from the adjacent vegetation.

We also worked with rosa Brun , a Spanish Arist to provide an intresting focal piece that would invite to enter the living room corridor through a series of colored stand-alone sculptures and a strong image at the back Wall .

Our practice was also responsable for the interior design
