The apartment is located on the top floor of a 1970s building in Varese. The project has the aim of enhancing the apartment’s strengths such as brightness and generous spaces.

The original layout, characterized by an excess of distribution spaces, has been transformed by inserting a central olive-colored furnishing volume that integrates storage spaces, shelving and a laundry area, while also serving as a core for the entire apartment.

On one side, a bright living area with a contemporary layout and terracotta-colored walls. The open kitchen is equipped with a large island with top and sides in a light terrazzo slabs with multicolored aggregates.

On the other side, the sleeping area houses a bedroom where a rope-colored upholstery covers all surfaces, also concealing the entrance to the walk-in closet.

A dark grey terrazzo step leads to the master bathroom, a space entirely covered with green glazed tiles in contrast to the bold custom-made brick-red vanity unit. A second bathroom for guests opens onto the corridor. The black terrazzo of the sink counter is complemented by glazed gray ceramic tiles, with cadmium yellow walls as a backdrop. Four small glass block portholes discreetly connect the two bathrooms and contribute to the diffusion of light between the spaces.

The main spaces are connected by a homogeneous floor made by oak parquet strips with an offset sister joint installation, adding elegance and continuity to the entire apartment.
