Brothers and Sisters designed by Original Action Group's Nathan Warkentin is now open in Chicago. The funky bottle shop, all-day eatery and market is the brainchild of Erin Carlman Weber and Derek Herbster in partnership with chef Jonny Hunter of Madison’s Underground Food Collective...and trust me, it's spectacular.

Nathan's first foray into the Chicago market, his background as a menswear designer and creative director (most notably for Mast Brothers Chocolate) translates into the interior design and branding for the multifaceted property. Whether an impromptu morning coffee or leisurely evening filled with wine, cheese and good conversation, Brothers and Sisters is a warm, inviting space with versatility and approachability at the forefront. Diverse materials and colors are incorporated into the space, including a colorful amazonite bar, glazed brick wall tiles and random-mixed herringbone floor tiles. 70’s touches such as Flowerpot pendants by Vernor Panton, wood paneling and a framed Danish shag rug dot the space. Other details include custom anamorphic-shaped cutting boards inspired by Alvar Aalto's iconic Savoy vase and quirky hand drawn characters incorporated into branded elements.
