The project located on the northern coast of Yilan County in Taiwan, which is in between the Snow Mountain and the Pacific Ocean. The owner who lives in Taipei uses this estate for leisure purpose.
Walking through the city and country, passing through layers and layers of mountains and tunnels, the designer set up an arch in the entrance to symbolize an invisible ceremony. A ceremony that can cleanse the soul, escape from the hustle and bustle of life and find the true self.
There is no need to use complicated decoration in between the areas. The designer simplifies the material, try to return the essence of life and respond to nature with humility. The dome shape of the ceiling implies the stacked hills, and the artwork of a woman swimming freely corresponds to the endless ocean outside the window. You can feel a variety of fun mentally and visually by being in different positions of the house.
In between reality and fiction, the invisible horizontal and vertical axis in the space and the flow line create a sense of moving and a different lifestyle.
Breaking the partition of life, using shelves, invisible storage cabinets and the dining table, etc. to define the space. Keep the flexibility and variability of space and blurring the boundaries between the interior and the exterior. Introducing the light and the vast view of the sea to connect with the house.
Because of the connection between nature and architecture, it creates infinite possibilities and intertwines a warm and tranquility atmosphere exclusive to the space.
