From MWARQ

The MWARQ architecture office, led by architect Marcela Wandenkolk, recently underwent a renovation in its physical space and is now located in Jardim Paulista, in São Paulo. The objective of the renovation was to create a space that conveyed the language of the office, while providing an ideal backdrop for project presentations.

The aesthetic choice of MWARQ's new headquarters reflects the team's concern to align the design of the physical space with the office's work proposal. Neutral colors and carefully planned lighting create a warm and inviting environment, functional for everyday life, but which makes guests feel welcomed into a living room.

The office refurbishment was not just limited to structural changes, but also included the installation of new coatings, panels and custom-designed furniture, in order to completely renew the look of the space. The arrangement of furniture and strategic lighting help create an ideal atmosphere for presentations and everyday life. The new MWARQ headquarters has a spacious and well-lit environment, with clear walls and no interference, so that the projects are the center of attention.

The ceramic bricks frame the view of the city of São Paulo and complement the sensorial experience of the space, with its rustic texture that is accentuated by the lighting. The large-format vinyl floor meets the technical needs of its use in the office, and also brings a sense of spaciousness to the environment. The choice for MDF panels was due to its easy maintenance and agility in the production of parts, an important factor in corporate renovations.

The current format of the office is the combination of two commercial spaces, previously separated. Taking advantage of the two existing accesses, separate entrances were created for customers and staff. The main door takes guests directly to the waiting area. The team's access is through a decompression space, which also hides the area for equipment and printers.

The meeting room is one of the highlights of the new MWARQ headquarters. It was designed to receive up to eight people in an elegant and comfortable environment, with designer furniture, special lighting and a large meeting table designed to measure. The privacy and acoustics of the space are guaranteed by the large linen curtain that can isolate the environment. Everything has been thought out to provide customers with the best possible experience.

Taking into account the new work dynamics, the space has fixed positions and collective tables, which adapt to the dynamics of the team. Parts were designed to house documents and samples of materials. Focal point of the space, the bookshelf with three meters of shelves houses the collection items and the office library, which is constantly changing.

The physical office space is an extension of what the MWARQ team believes in and does on a daily basis. Therefore, architect Marcela Wandenkolk points out that the work environment was designed to be practical and efficient, without losing elegance and comfort. The renovation of the office's physical space was an important investment to improve the quality of the work environment and the experience offered to customers.

The new space reflects MWARQ's work philosophy, which is based on creativity, functionality and comfort. The team believes that its physical space is an extension of what they do on a daily basis, and an important investment in improving the quality of work offered to customers.

“We believe that the physical space of the office is a fundamental element for the success of our projects. Therefore, we dedicate time and resources to create an environment that reflects our work vision and that is pleasant for everyone who works here and visits us”, says Marcela Wandenkolk.
