Appalachian Retreat

Way off the beaten track in Hazard, KY, you'll find the project we designed as an isolated "thinking cabin" for our client. We designed the home around the unique group of travel souvenirs and folk art our client has collected, creating spaces for relaxation, work, and object display. The interiors are designed for deep work, with minimal material distractions. Walls and floors are covered with objects from the clients travels and items that inspire his work.
