Designed by Aamir & Hameeda from Hyderabad, India, this holiday-home houses five courtyards and a swimming pool. Each courtyard is textured with heavy tropical greenery infused with numerous light fixtures.

The strategy was to have multiple courtyards and every room overlook either the courtyard or the swimming pool. As the courtyards are kept densely landscaped, the interiors are left minimal. The most interesting feature of the entire farm house is the lack of lighting fixtures in the interiors as most of the light is comes from the courtyards.

The entrance is an old antique door placed against a stone cladded wall with a console table. Inside, on the right-hand is the formal living area with a wooden clad wall while the other end is occupied by a family living area which is separated by a courtyard. Further on, the dining section opens into the kitchen area. “For us, the most Interesting room remains the dining room because it overlooks the pool in the front, and it has two courtyards attached to it,” says Aamir Sharma. A huge landscaped courtyard separates the dining area and the master bedroom and the guest bedrooms are tucked away in private sections of the home. Outside, a swimming pool with a bar consoles becomes the heart of this open home.

All the furniture and the pieces are strategically chosen in a contemporary and minimal theme. Most of all the furniture was sourced from Italy as the furniture had to be very sleek yet durable and strong because its a farm house. All the colors were handpicked by us so that we could bring about a brighter environment but most of the color came for the greens.
