This project began as a gut renovation of the main house, but our NYC studio worked on the guest house and kitchen, too, as work progressed. The home has a coastal look with large doses of luxury and functionality.
We used performance fabrics throughout the home so the interiors can withstand the wear and tear of beachside living, and the palette of whites and steel blues looks chic and timeless. The coastal flooring contributes a lot to the coastal look. We stripped the existing pine hardwood floors, bleached them, and added a custom watered-down light grey stain.
Our clients wanted to use this home throughout the year, so we wanted the interiors to feel welcome at all times. We achieved a warm, inviting look with cozy accents like cable-knit throw pillows and stylish throw blankets.
