A Home Rooted in Stillness and Simplicity
Tucked away in a quiet residential pocket, Project 'Akai' is a 1000 Sq. Ft home designed for a young couple to evoke a sense of calm, clarity, and lived-in elegance. Rooted in the philosophies of minimalism and gentle restraint, the space reflects a Japanese-meets-Scandinavian sensibility where clean lines, tactile materials, and a subdued palette come together to create a sanctuary.
From the outset, the design language was guided by a desire to reduce noise both visual and spatial and replace it with thoughtful, intentional living. Natural light takes center stage, filtering through sheer textures and illuminating earthy surfaces. Walls are kept bare or softly textured, allowing each material to breathe and belong.
Furniture is low-slung and timeless, chosen for its craftsmanship and quiet beauty. Every corner, every object, serves a purpose — whether functional or emotional. Storage is seamlessly integrated to preserve flow, and every room transitions into the next with effortlessness and ease.
It's not just a residence but it's a reflection of restraint, ritual, and the quiet joy of coming home.
