From an existing abandoned basement, the architect created an additional dwelling unit. The studio will accommodate the demand for compact, urban housing in the H Street Corridor of Washington DC.
With minimum alterations to the exterior envelope, the architect achieved a light filled studio that maximizes the use of space.
