This project involved a 2 storey rear addition and interior renovation to a house built in 1879, located in the Cabbagetown neighborhood of Toronto. The program included a renovated dining room and parlor, a new kitchen, an additional bedroom, washrooms, a master bedroom suite, and a lowered basement. The historical facade was preserved, with a transom window added above the front door. The main stair is built of white oak with open risers. The kitchen includes a skylight to bring natural light deep into the plan. A peninsula seating counter faces the rear living area. At the rear, sliding glazed doors face a deck to the backyard and laneway.
