Reflecting musician Richard Grea's Rock & Roll lifestyle, Designer Carlos King's theme was to embody Grea's artistic personality, while incorporating his own design aesthetic, marrying emotion and sensation. The base for the project was combining Vintage and Contemporary elements resulting in leopard carpeting and charcoal walls in the master bedroom, giving inspiration to utilize Vintage Designer furnishings with brass details including pieces by Milo Baughman, Breuton and Steve Chase, and mixed with custom pieces by Natuzzi; and adding luxurious finishes such as shagreen leather. Brazilian tiger wood and amethyst stone where also used throughout the home. The project was tied together with very unique art, a large scale graffiti triptych a la Basquiat done by an unknown artist in Palm Springs in the early 1980’s , a vintage pop art Rolling Stones poster, and a unique 1950s fire engine red fun house mirror from Asbury Park, that was notably on stage with the late Jimi Hendrix.
