Adding the wood brightener.  Don't have a dumb deck, brighten it with Superdeck wood brightener. The brightener will also neutralize any remnant wood stripper from the previous step, so it has double benefits, plus it's pretty satisfying watching the wood brighten right before your eyes.

Getting the area ready to stain the wood, again.The deck was a test to see if I wanted to actually build a proper one here. It's pine, which you shouldn't build a deck out of, since it doesn't hold up well when in contact to dirt and nature. But it's lasted a few years, with only a little decomposition at the ends that meet the rocks.
