Itz'ana Resort & Residences in Placencia, Belize, is launching at the end of the year, offering several options for travelers and those looking for a more permanent stay.

The 22-acre property features 66 luxury waterfront cottages and 20 villas situated between the Placencia Lagoon and the Caribbean Sea. The homes range from one- to five-bedrooms designed in collaboration between Boston-based architect Roberto de Oliveira Castro and NYC-based interior designer Samuel Amoia. The interiors are inspired by the natural surroundings and the Maya culture, and feature hand-crafted furnishings by local artisans.
