Making Friday
I started Skinny laMinx because I was making things in my studio. But as the business grew, I had less time to spend in the studio, which was terrible! So I started my Making Friday practice, where Fridays are reserved as non-work-related studio time. It's so much fun, and it keeps me interested, and keeps my business interesting.
I'm considering setting up my own country, and have started with the flag design. The entire bureaucracy will be conducted on Instagram, so for citizenship, apply within :). //#skinnylaminxCOLOUR #makingfriday

I hope you found time for #makingfriday this week. I've been remarkably productive in my studio over these fraught few weeks. Perhaps the uncertainty of what to expect has helped me focus on things i can control. Sounds like a good start to whatever comes next in these crazy times.

One of the things I like to do on a Making Friday is to take a single motif and to print the heck out of it until I feel I’ve exhausted all its possibilities… and then to print some more.

April 2016: I often start my Making Friday by making dabs on paper with a brush or pencil. It's just a bit of a habit that gets me into making mode.
