Goded's apartment

This project renews the image of a house that faces the Turia Gardens, in Valencia. The objective of this intervention is enhancing the views and allowing them to be enjoyed from a large space, eliminating visual barriers and facilitating the fluidity of their paths.

The property owners required an intermediary figure to channel all these needs and
present them in a balanced way. They have trusted Raw architecture for this task, a young studio that was started by the architect Cristina Orpi, who has known how to understand and solve technically all the wishes of the couple.

The result is a minimalist project with captivating luminosity, divided into two easily identifiable areas but without losing that aesthetic unity that the owners desired.

The day area revolves around the kitchen, the true heart of the house. To achieve this result, the kitchen has been opened to the dining room. The architect has designed a central island as a distributing element of the space. This idea allows the couple to cook with a direct view of the Turia gardens, a river turned park, and to socialize with friends and family while preparing their dishes.

The living room is also made up of two different areas, one for a more personal reading and a more dynamic one that interacts with the large window. For this space, a custom-made piece of furniture has been designed that functions both as storage and as a resting place and that, accompanied by the Balloon collection (from the .annud firm), allows the owners to observe and enjoy the spacious living room.

Regarding the private area of the house, the essential requirement of the clients was to expand the main bedroom, and to provide it with an open and bright dressing room. This idea materializes in a corner closet, which is interrupted to make way for a rest area next to the window.

The furniture firm .annud has allowed the rooms to be inhabited with unique pieces while maintaining a common denominator: the delicacy of their shapes and the minimalist freshness. It was necessary to incorporate furniture with its own personality that contrasted with the neutral palette of the materials of the house.

The finishes have been solved with a large format gray ceramic tile, which is reminiscent of microcement, combined with a Dekton Cosentino cascade countertop and wood cabinetry that unifies all the elements and transforms them into a home.

Artificial lighting has played a decisive role in the project design. A series of indirect light lines have been created that accompany the paths of the house, thus providing a warm and intimate atmosphere.
