One of the owners is a chef, so the kitchen, featuring HAY Revolver bar stools, naturally takes centerstage. Although it opens to the living room, the imposing butcher block ensures that cooks can be sealed away when maximum concentration is needed.

“When I walk through the house, I remember putting the plywood on the ceilings, which was not fun at all. But there’s a satisfaction in having been part of that process,” notes Craig.

Artist Cori Creed stands in the kitchen of the vacation home in rural British Columbia that she and her husband, Craig Cameron, built with their friend and architect, Kevin Vallely. Cori made the ceramic dinnerware and pendants, while Craig built the kitchen island and installed the plywood ceiling with the help of his stepfather.

The outdoor atrium of Family House Litvínovice is a completely private space that's well-suited for the installation of a hammock, outdoor bath, or shower. A11 designed the home to be an exploration of minimalism and privacy from the outside world.

A subtle ombre effect has been created around the pool using the Techo-Bloc Squadra paver in Chestnut Brown with Merlot scattered throughout. The edge of the pool is graphically defined using the Blu Grande slab in Beige Cream to create a striking and sophisticated composition.

The architects optimised the steep slope at the eastern end of the section by adding a subterranean level that accommodates a guest bedroom, storage and a yoga space.

The revamped residence spans 1,593 square feet, with its main living areas spread across four levels. Hardwood floors run throughout, enhancing the home's cohesive aesthetic.

Chandigarh Chairs by Pierre Jeanneret furnish the living space beyond the double-height entrance doors.

Taliesyn composed the Cabin House as a unified cuboid volume containing a hybrid living area.

The deck is framed as an open-air room where the ceiling and walls have been peeled away. The grill is a vintage Weber Genesis 1000. LG solar panels from Pick My Solar contribute to the home’s net-zero energy profile, as does a moisture barrier in the walls that allows heat to escape.

Wonderous views can be enjoyed from the lounge chairs that line the infinity edge pool.

The expansion is flanked on both sides by lush gardens. Here, the line between indoors and outdoors is blurred to the extreme... to the homeowners' delight.
