I approached the park from the south, jogging past the Edgewater Hotel and Port of Seattle along Alaskan Way, and entered at the southwest corner, with the slope—and the Space Needle—to my left.

“One of my favorite pieces we designed for the space is the reception desk,” says Thomas Gibbons, creative director at Bond Collective. “It’s upholstered in this beautiful, channeled deep-chocolate leather and topped with marble.” The space also houses custom chevrons and motifs, as well as light European oak floors.

Staying true to Bond Collective’s design philosophy, Bond Station House was inspired by its surrounding community. Nestled in a breathtaking Art Deco building, the contemporary co-working space blends a rich combination of luxe style and relaxed sophistication.

Acclaimed for their five uniquely designed co-working spaces across Manhattan and Brooklyn, Bond Collective has recently opened the doors to their first location outside of New York City. Located on the top floor of one of Philadelphia’s most historic landmark buildings, Bond Station House is conveniently located in the heart of center city.

Sprawling across 22,000 square feet, the vast Bond Station House showcases 25’ ceilings in the main lounge and features an array of custom built meeting areas and communal spaces. Gorgeous natural light pours in throughout from the wraparound penthouse terraces.

Constructed of geometric shapes that are both soft and free of sharp corners, the Wing sofa gracefully rests on an almost out-of-sight cast-metal base, giving off the impression it’s floating on air. Designed by Antonio Citterio, the sofa’s sleek proportions make it a contemporary style statement in both residential and hospitality projects.

“One of my favorite products from Flexform is the best and long-seller Groundpiece sofa, designed by Antonio Citterio in 2001, which quickly transformed the very concept of the sofa,” explains a member of the Flexform team. Set deep and low, this sectional was designed as a more casual approach to seating. Thanks to its amply sized goose-down cushions, the Groundpiece is exceptionally inviting.

Lightweight, versatile, and even chameleon-like, the Soft Dream sofa is one whose name proclaims its features. With plush goose-down cushions resting on a cowhide-upholstered metal base, this soft encourages relaxation in any space.

Another tasteful design by Antonio Citterio, the Lifesteel sofa is characterized by its elegant cowhide-upholstered frame, which warmly welcomes the goose-down seat cushions with a core insert in a crush-proof material. Expressing a light, straightforward aesthetic, this sectional also comes with an extensive array of possible combinations, making it extremely versatile for any room.

Located over the central hallway, the 33-foot-long spine cartridge serves as the home's central nervous system. It contains all the electrical and communication lines, as well as ductwork for HVAC.

Equipped with solar panels and solar thermal technology, the FutureHAUS produces all of its own energy, with enough leftover to feed the grid.
