Slot Shelf is a minimal bookshelf created by Vienna-based designer Klemens Schillinger. Since graduating from the Royal College of Art he has been working as a freelance designer for various design studios as well as carrying on with his own work. Slot Shelf is a simple self supporting shelving system that requires neither screwed, nor glued connections. It can be set up within a few minutes and yet is sturdy.
The 2000-square-foot apartment included a massive open living space that was much too large to divide it into just two zones – living and dining. The new plan flanked the dining room with a living area on one side and a den, library-like area on the other. The space was only wired for one light in an awkward location and because of the NYC building codes not allowing for moving or adding addition lights with concrete ceilings, they had to work around it. They designed a custom light fixture that extends the light from its source all the way through the sculptural light.

Objem is a minimal decanter created by Eindhoven-based designer Daphna Laurens for Křehký. Objem is a porcelain decanter which introduces the motif of an abstract object on a set table. The name alludes to a sense of volume and embrace in Slavic languages, and is there to brighten up any occasion with it’s cheerful and elegant appearance. The fine textured ceramics, utilitarian qualities, and its character make Objem an artistic yet sociable piece.
The Lucid Lights collection, is a minimal pair of lamps by Rotterdam-based designer, David Derksen. These finely perforated lamps play with the perception of the observer. The illuminated objects do not appear to have a clear source of light, but instead are filled with light, creating a thin empty surface. This surface is almost transparent, making objects behind it visible. The lamps create an illusion of effortless illumination.
Dune Coffee Table is a minimal coffee table created by Brooklyn-based designers Bower. The Dune coffee table mixes a bumpy wood texture with a slick glass surface, creating a tactile, visceral duality between these two elements. The flatness of the glass creates a surface for certain objects such as cups and plates, while the grooved surface allows for storage of pens, headphones, or other small accessories.
If letting your bed linens drape onto the floor or the platform bed frame just isn’t your style, keep your bedroom feeling sharp and tidy by tucking your sheets under the mattress and removing any extra blankets or fluffy comforters. A slim, white bed frame such as this one feels skeletal enough to still convey airiness.
