Together they've engineered a technology that allows users to control the brewing process remotely from their smartphones, using the WeMo app. The WeMo-enabled coffee maker is available now for $150.

At $150, you pay a premium for being able to control the device from your phone — for comparison, a regular programmable Mr. Coffee costs around $40. However, if you already have the WeMo system from Belkin, which allows users to control smart devices around their home, this is a logical extension.
