The LED has come a long way. Here are our favorite new options for balancing efficiency and aesthetics.

Porcelain III Bulb by Tala

A modern spin on the classic Edison bulb, Tala’s Porcelain III is notable for its matte glass finish as well as its energy-saving, dimmable LED filament.

With its coiled filament and elongated globe, this bulb from Philips might have a vintage look, but it allows the user to control lighting with Bluetooth and voice commands.

Bulbrite’s filament bulb is designed to let you dim the lights and customize brightness and warmth through the company’s app or your smart-home device.

Although reminiscent of a traditional filament lightbulb, the TRÅDFRI from IKEA is updated with LED technology and can be used with an IKEA wireless dimmer, which is sold separately. Not
bad for a last-minute addition to your blue bag.
