Barbara Bernal graduated in Architecture from Santiagos’ University of Finis Terrae, Chile, and began her career as a sole practitioner. Looking to expand her career internationally, she spent 8 years abroad practicing architecture in Sydney, Toronto, and Vancouver. During this time she actively pursued and developed an expertise in sustainable design. Barbara is both LEED accredited (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), and a Certified Sustainable Building Advisor (CSBA). She teaches regularly and has published articles in CA magazine, among others. Best known for her razor sharp architectural ‘eye’, she is a passionate recycler and finder of local organic produce.

Nick Foster studied Architecture at ‘The Bartlett’ in London, receiving a Distinction, and the schools ‘Opening Prize` for design excellence. Prior to co-founding

fbA he worked for the offices of Norman Foster, AHMM, ORMS and Mcfarlane Green Biggar. He has developed an expertise in project management and co-ordinating multidisciplinary project teams. In addition to his breadth of international project experience Nick has been actively involved in teaching, architectural tour guiding, and invaluable hands on construction. He is best known for his wobbly design sketches and seemingly odd English expressions.
