As someone who grew up in the 'burbs and spend a fair share of her youth driving to mega-strip malls to shop at Wet Seal and eat Chevy's, writer Bernice Yeung has since developed an unapologetic bias for living in the city. Needless to say, in her research of the future of urban planning, she was very relieved to learn of the near-universal movement away from sprawl and toward denser, greener designs.
