Last year, Dwell and Monogram teamed up again for a cross-country road trip, stopping in six cities to invite local design communities into the Monogram Modern Home. The 600-square-foot prefab designed by Chris Pardo Design: Elemental Architecture and built by Method Homes is now ready for its next adventure as an office, club house, or guest home. Asking a reduced price of $90,000, the aluminum-clad structure boasts an open living space with floor-to-ceiling windows by Western Window Systems and a kitchen completely outfitted with high-end appliances by Monogram:

Method Homes co-founder Brian Abramson described the evolution of the building’s design: "We wanted to add different dimensionalities to the house, so we gave it a peaked roof with a gable for a slightly different profile, taking into account view orientation and window placement. We’re really pleased with how it turned out."
This year, Seattle-based Method Homes teamed up again with Monogram and Dwell to build the traveling prefab.

Even furry guests felt right at home.
Michael Habachy of Habachy Designs created a textured interior, sourcing items from local boutiques and stores around Westside Provisions District including Buzzi Boutique, Dixon & Rye, and Room & Board.
The home reflected the eclectic, urban vibes of the West Midtown district.
The transforming wall bed system and accompanying glass coffee table by Resource Furniture modeled a space-saving solution for compact quarters. As the home travels from stop to stop, its furnishings evolve to conversate with the aesthetic of the host city.
Chef Jon Liddell performed live cooking demonstrations that showcased the high-performing features of Monogram appliances.
Guests get a feel for the fully integrated refrigerator, which offers customizable climate control in three zones and a convertible lower drawer.
During a rainy evening, the Monogram Modern Home provided a warm refuge.
The San Francisco Bay and Marin County’s verdant hills were a scenic backdrop for the traveling home.
