The house comprises six pavilions—five enclosed living spaces and an open-air entryway—arranged in a ring. The landscape, designed by horticulturist Patrick Cullina, will evoke both a forest and an alpine meadow when fully grown, according to Heid. It also leaves room for one of the family’s new hobbies: vegetable gardening.
