John F. Kennedy’s Former Georgetown Home Lists for $4.7M
The circa 1800 D.C. residence was restored by renowned architect Richard Foster and builder Tom Glass.
The former residence of President John F. Kennedy was just listed for sale in Washington D.C., fresh from a Richard Foster-led restoration. Set in the historic neighborhood of Georgetown, the Federal-style property was originally built in the 1800s, and served as JFK's home from 1949 to 1951 while he was a United States senator.
Featuring a classic redbrick facade with white-framed windows, the Federal-style mansion also retains much of its 19th-century charm inside. In the double-height front entryway, a winding staircase leads to the second level while marble flooring finishes off the look.

Foster, along with builder Tom Glass, undertook a complete renovation of the three-bedroom, two-bath residence. The duo reimagined the 4,659-square-foot interior for modern-day living without losing many of the original details and historic aesthetic.
