In 1950, influential architect Richard Neutra added another modernist masterpiece to his portfolio. Set within the gated community of Rolling Hills, near Long Beach, California, the striking light-filled midcentury was commissioned by Clarence Coe, a chemical engineer for Union Oil. Since its completion seven decades ago, the 2,018-square-foot home has seen just two owners. Now, it's back on the market, seeking $1,950,000.

Neatly tucked away on a verdant one-acre lot in the gated community of Rolling Hills, the Coe House was designed by Richard Neutra in 1950 for a local engineer. Only two owners have enjoyed the home throughout the last 70 years.

Featuring two bedrooms and three baths, the Coe House also offers impeccable period details, including wood-beamed ceilings, as well as built-in cabinets, desks, and seating. An expansive wall of windows frames the mesmerizing ocean views.

Measuring 2,018 square feet, the single-family residence offers a unique chance to step back in time. The midcentury house features expansive windows across the back in addition to a ribbon of transom windows along the front.
