Born in Copenhagen in 1916, Jens Risom immigrated to the U.S. in 1939 and began a towering design career, initially working with Hans Knoll and then founding Jens Risom Design in 1946. Like his fellow Danish designers, Risom celebrated the beauty of natural materials, often pairing wood and leather for tactile and visual contrast. His T.300 Table Series (1958) embodies this with a combination of solid wood and supple leather. Adding to the collection’s playful spirit is its mix of round, rectangular and hexagonal tabletops. Made in Poland.
