The kitchen island bench top consists of a 5mm thick piece of raw black steel that has been treated with Penetrol. The five cupboards are made of the same material and contain wired industrial glass. These two features were something that just couldn't be comprehended by kitchen companies in the area. The two island pendants were recycled from an old factory in my home town and had very little work done to them prior to installation.
