Project Details:

Location: Ghent, Belgium

Architect: Machteld D'Hollander / @machtelddhollander

Builder: De Meiboom

Landscape Design: Bart & Pieter

Photographer: Stijn Bollaert / @stijn_bollaert

From the Architect: "The project transforms an enclosed area, crammed with industrial derelicts, into an urban oasis. It has been torn down, and partially replaced with plants and trees. Some of the original walls were left, while two semi-transparent garden pavilions were added. The private house is linked to as well as separated from a professional practice. Walls and pavilions create garden rooms, each with its own atmosphere. A wall is no barrier. It creates views."
