Grant Studio@grant_studio
Founded by Michael Grant in 1998, Grant Studio specializes in architecture and interior design projects that require a high degree of personalized attention to achieve the client's vision.
The work of the office was awarded a 2006 American Institute of Architects Boston Honor Award, and a 2003 American Institute of Architects Boston Design Award. Grant Studio is currently completing construction documents for its winning design from the Riverplace Carillon Design Competition in Greenville, South Carolina. The office has been selected for the AIA New England Architecture Exhibition each year since 2003.
Recent work was featured in Dwell magazine, Boston magazine, and Architecture Boston, and was the subject of the recent exhibition and lecture "Entrance Strategies." Michael Grant recently participated in the Emerging Practices lecture series sponsored by the Faculty of Architecture, Wentworth Institute of Technology. We are proud of the recognition we have received, but we believe the firm's greatest success is in meeting the needs of the clients we have served. The office strives to be more than just a service provider, but works to be a trusted partner in projects that truly change lives.
With more than half of the office LEED accredited, Grant Studio recognizes the impact that the construction industry has on the environment, and is committed to helping interested clients build in a sustainable manner. The office benefits from close ties to universities in the northeast and around the country. These include the University of Michigan, Rhode Island School of Design, Roger Williams University, and Northeastern University, schools where Michael Grant has taught architectural studios and seminars, as well as Harvard University, M.I.T., and the University of Virginia, where he has been a visiting critic on architectural reviews.
