    Tuomas Siitonen is an architect and graphic designer based in Helsinki, Finland. He is formally educated in architecture and graphic design, with experience ranging from concepts to hands-on crafting. Tomas Siitonen Ltd. was founded in 2010. Before launching his own company Tuomas has been working on design projects for institutions, cities, companies and private persons in various companies. He has been a partner at Part., an office specialized in public space and participation (2008-2010), and M41LH2, a workgroup/think-tank (2001-2006). He has also been a proud member of Anteeksi design collective since 2002. Besides these collaborations he has experience of working as an employee: as a project architect for Tuomo Siitonen architects on Studio Widnäs among other projects, as a project architect for Heikkinen-Komonen architects on Villa Frida and as an intern at MetaDesign in Berlin. Tuomas honors smallness, collaboration and flexibility over bigness. To strengthen his own competencies he has a network of collaborators in urban design, landscape design, graphic design and lighting design.     Professor Kas Oosterhuis is both a visionary and a practicing architect designer, leading the innovation studio ONL and the Hyperbody research group at the TU Delft. In his book Towards a New Kind of Building, a Designers Guide to Nonstandard Architecture [NAi Publishers, 2011] Oosterhuis reveals the fundamentals of his personal design universe, which embraces the paradigm shift from standard to nonstandard architecture and from static to dynamic environments as the initial condition.     In 2002, architects Pavel Horák and Václav Zahradníček founded the joint studio Prodesi, which specializes exclusively in timber buildings. Because they like to follow through with what they start, three years later they founded the company Domesi, which deals with complementation of their projects. Both companies help their clients with every single step of the project, from securing a building permit to handing over the keys to their new house. They have over two hundred completed timber constructions under their belt, not only family houses based on individual designs and turnkey timber constructions, but also modern public buildings. Prodesi/Domesi projects and implementations are positively perceived by both the professional and lay public. They have already won a number of domestic and foreign awards (for instance, 3x Big See Awards in Ljubljana, Slovenia, or more recently the award Dřevostavba roku 2020 in the Modern Buildings category for the project of the kindergarten in Všetaty).     Lisa Albin earned her Bachelor of Architecture from The Rhode Island School of Design in 1990. After assisting landscape architect Alexandre Chemetoff in Paris and artist Vito Acconci in Brooklyn, Albin spent the next 10 years designing residential interiors and feature films in NYC (for such directors as Bette Gordon and Phil Joanou) and worked at Pierce Allen on architectural and interior projects. Inspired by her young children and after a seminar at Haystack Mt. School of Crafts in Maine, Albin turned to children's furniture, launching Iglooplay in 2005. That same year, Iglooplay exhibited prototypes at Brooklyn Designs and The International Contemporary Furniture Fair.Albin has taught at Parsons School of Design and has guest-lectured at Columbia University, School of Visual Arts and The Cooper-Hewitt Museum's after school program. Through her design practice, Lisa Albin Design, she continues interior and furniture design work and develops proposals for grade school classrooms and public spaces for children. Albin lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two young daughters (the design consultants!).
