    WWW.LWPAC.NET L W P A C, Lang Wilson Practice in Architecture Culture is a multidisciplinary architecture and design firm that engages at the interface between architecture, urban culture and technology. The firm is deeply engaged in design that facilitates connective, adaptable and generative building solutions as sustainable platforms for life. The firm was founded by principals Oliver Lang and Cynthia Wilson in 1998 in New York City, and has been based in Vancouver BC Canada since 1999. Oliver Lang is a graduate of Columbia University, Graduate School of Architecture Planning and Preservation, with a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design. He holds a professional degree Diplom Ingenieur Architektur (M.Arch) from the Berlin University of Technology with studies at the ETSA Barcelona UPC. He is a licensed architect in British Columbia, New York USA and North Rhine-Westphalia Germany. He has served for over 20 years on leading faculties in North America, South America and Europe in research and teaching with a focus on mixed-use urban housing, public architecture and emerging technologies. He has served as Chair for Urban Design Panels for the City of Vancouver and the University of BC. Cindy Wilson holds a professional B.Arch and an undergraduate B.Arts from the University of British Columbia. She is actively involved in all LWPAC projects and provides leadership in design research for urban design/development and new forms of mixed use housing. She has taught design at the University of British Columbia and regularly serves as a thesis mentor and critic. L W P A C’s work has been broadly recognized with a Governor General’s and Lieutenant Governor’s Medals Awards of Excellence, repeat AIBC Innovation Awards, Design Exchange Award and a Home of the Year Award by Architecture Magazine. LWPAC was named Designer of the Year Award by Western Living and won a BC Wood Design Award from the Canadian Wood Council. In 2014 and 2016 the firm was recognized with three Urban Design Awards by the City of Vancouver. In 2014 LWPAC won the high profile commission to design the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, a public art museum. Completed projects include among others ROAR_one, Monad, the UBC Dairy Research Centre Housing, the UTFSM Architecture School building and the Vanglo House. The firm has pioneered a new approach to mixed use urban housing that integrates livability, community focus, sustainability and affordability into one consistent yet adaptable design and construction solution through the use of an off-site prefabricated housing technology systems platform.
