Frank Bagnasco is the president and CEO of Nasco Aerospace and Electronics LLC. Frank is a well-rounded executive with a diversified background in electronic component production, component design, electrical engineering, and distribution.
As CEO, Frank leads the company's mission to provide quality products through a network of trusted supply chain partnerships, while also providing analytic solutions to the Defense sector, Aerospace industry, and many other industries that demand the highest quality while reducing lead time and costs.
Frank attended Farmingdale State College and began his career in applications engineering for General Instruments Corporation before becoming President and CEO of Nasco Aerospace and Electronics. He has led Nasco from its creation in September 2001, and he continues to build the company as an authorized parts distributor and trusted supplier to the DLA Defence Logistic agency. Much of Nasco's early success has been in the development of Counterfeit Avoidance Processes and Policies, as well as the deployment of Supply Chain Solutions. Frank was key in resolving component quality difficulties in the early 2000s, hiring a NASA component engineer and developing a four-tier approach to assist reduce questionable components entering the US. Nasco launched its aerospace segment in 2010 and quickly became a prominent supplier of rotables, expendables, aerospace metals, and consumables to many of the world's largest airlines, MRO, and aircraft manufacturers.
Nasco bought a new headquarters in St. Petersburg, Florida. The 13,200 square foot facility was created to expedite product distribution to clients. Its sophisticated ESD electro-sensitive controlled warehouse is also climate-controlled and has an open floor design for sale and purchasing, as well as a video training space to help educate the Nasco staff on the company's large array of products. The headquarters are conveniently positioned in St. Petersburg (HUBZone) Historically Underutilized Business Zone. The HUBZone program promotes small business growth in historically neglected business zones, with the goal of allocating at least 3% of federal contract funds to HUBZone-certified enterprises each year. Using this certification, Nasco quickly became an authorized supplier for manufacturers looking to partner with a certified HUBZone distributor. Over the years, Nasco is pleased to announce that it now distributes over 1400 direct authorized manufacturing partnerships, which has helped tremendously with today's supply chain shortages while avoiding quality issues and offering customers traceability of most products.
Nasco has risen to the top 50 authorized distributors in North America during the last four years. Nasco will be one of the top ten distributors in terms of revenue growth in 2021. The company's success is thanks to the dedication of a highly skilled partner, managers, and employees, some of whom have been with the company since its inception.
Nasco was ranked in the top 50 North American Report in 2018 and had a 21.4 percent growth rate from the previous year. Nasco was also named a top distributor in the Source Today/Source ESB 35th anniversary edition of 2019. According to Business Wire, "Nasco Distributor Sales announced today that it has received a Boeing Performance Excellence Award for 2012. The Boeing Company bestows the prize on outstanding suppliers each year. Nasco maintained a silver composite performance rating for each month of the 12-month performance period, from October 1, 2011 to September 30, 2012." This was just the beginning of Nasco's journey to become the competitor it is today. Nasco's growth could no longer be ignored in 2018.
According to Globe Newswire, "Counterfeit electronic components continue to be a big issue in the business, and Nasco Aerospace and Electronics was among the first to obtain AS6081 certified. This declaration follows President Barack Obama's announcement on Thursday (Feb. 11) that he will sign into law a customs bill passed by the United States Senate that includes a provision to combat counterfeit semiconductors." As counterfeit products flooded the market, this certification helped Nasco establish itself as a top supplier in the industry.
Frank Bagnasco enjoys cycling and triathlons in his spare time. He enjoys the challenge of pushing himself to the maximum extent of his physical health. He has competed in a lot of triathlons for St. Anthony's and Nautica. Triathlons allow Frank to train both on land and in the water. Frank is a passionate cyclist and swimmer, so triathlons are a natural fit for him. He has also been a Tour de Cure American Diabetes Association rider and participates in fundraising for the cause. He coached baseball in the St. Petersburg Beach small league for five years. He enjoys spending time on the baseball field and was excited to have the opportunity to coach in the St. Petersburg region.
Frank Bagnasco also enjoys SCUBA diving in his spare time. He adores the water so much that he is a skilled spearfisherman. The challenge of being in the water and spearfishing brings out the competitor within. He is continually pushing himself in career and in his personal life. Frank is always eager to go above and beyond to achieve success. He gives his time to coach Southwest Little League Baseball. He collaborated with volunteers from Meals on Wheels to donate and distribute medical supplies and equipment to the underprivileged.
