The studio has gained international recognition for its innovative lighting and home furnishings designs which are characterized by their unique sense of style and simplicity.

    Inga Sempé is a French designer who has worked with a variety of design brands, including Cappellini, Edra, LucePlan, HAY, Alessi, and more. Sempé graduated from ENSCI-Les Ateliers in 1993, and held a scholarship at the Villa Medici Académie de France in Rome from 2000 to 2001. Sempé opened her own studio in Paris in 2001, where she continues to live and work. She designs furniture, lighting, tabletop accessories, clocks, rugs, and more. All of her designs are united by a thoughtful use of shape, cheerful silhouettes, and the possibilities of color and pattern.

    Born in New York City in 1907, Girard was raised and educated in Italy by an American mother and French-Italian father. Much of his most famous work emerged from his time as the director of fabric and textiles at Herman Miller, a position he held from 1952 to 1975. There, he collaborated with George Nelson and Ray Eames on designs that broke new ground for the industry in the US and well beyond. Girard's style was boldly colorful, incorporating geometric patterns and illustrative folk art-inspired imagery. Other notable works of Girard include the branding of Braniff Airlines, the design of New York’s La Fonda del Sol restaurant, and a huge mural at the John Deere headquarters. Today, Girard’s work is distributed by House Industries and some of his textile designs have been re-released through Urban Outfitters and other popular merchants. Girard died in 1993.

Originally Hammond Landscaping, Hammond went door to door selling and designing dream landscapes from the back of his pick up. In the 1960’s, Mr. Del Webb was so impressed by Hammond's drive, ambition, and the company’s quality landscapes, his team began working directly with him. Chuck Hammond Jr. and Dan Waters, two long time employees, purchased the company from Chuck Hammond Sr. in 1993 and changed its name to Creative Environments. Today, over 50 years later, the company employs over 200 people, including over 20 landscape designers that are professionally trained and ready to design your customized outdoor living environment!

In 1993, the business moved to Fiskars, and in 1997 it became a limited company. Nikari manufactures and stocks its own line of furniture. In addition, it is actively engaged in various furnishing projects in Finland and overseas. Nikari's in-house cabinetmakers mainly focus on special demanding commissions, design and product development. Today, Nikari is placing special emphasis on collaboration with a new generation of designers. Stock products are manufactured in co-operation with a network of expert Finnish companies. This ensures that we can supply even large orders within the required schedule. All our furniture is manufactured in Finland.
